LOVE IS BLIND

Salim, a 30-year-old homicide detective, is withdrawn by nature. He has a three-year-old daughter with his now ex-wife, but shows little interest in the little girl. Soon after taking on a new murder case, Salim learns that the treatment he has been receiving for an eye condition isn’t working and that it is only a matter of time before he becomes totally blind. As he struggles to come to terms with the prognosis, it turns out that Handan, the wife of the murder victim in this new case, is a blind pianist. As the case progresses, Salim falls obsessively in love with Handan, but when she fails to reciprocate, he transfers his affections to Leyla, the blind wife of the prime murder suspect. Strangest of all, though, is that Salim’s adored mother is a blind and ageing hooker. As events unfold, so Salim becomes increasingly blind. Or as Salim becomes increasingly blind, so events unfold.
